The Customer Success Representative (CSR) is responsible for working with our existing customers in a consultative capacity in order to identify new opportunities for product growth. This is a sales position. The Customer Success Representative Primary role is finding additional business opportunities by understanding the Quality, Clincal, Regulatory and Manufacturing needs of the client an discerning the MasterControl Solutions that meet those needs. The CSR is also responsible for developing relationships with current customers within an assigned territory. The CSR works in conjunction with Regional Account Executives to develop both long term strategies and specific campaigns. The CSR builds and maintains relationships with existing customers through multiple strategies, including but not limited to campaigns, phone calls, e-mails, and on-site visits. The CSR also provides customers with everything they need to be successful. This may include a wide variety of tasks, including development of pricing quotes, product demonstrations, strategizing with the client regarding their priorities and participation in trade shows or various sales or marketing campaigns at the direction of sales management.




  • Outbound customer prospecting for the development of targeted opportunities 
  • Spearhead customer relationship activities such as Account Reviews
  • Maintain accurate customer account data in contact management software
  • Develop strategic plans to grow customer product use and uptake
  • Create, maintain, forecast and report on opportunities using contact management software
  • Facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns and offerings
  • Meeting with the clients onsite when deemed beneficial
  • May be called upon to attend tradeshows and client facing events



  • Software sales and/or marketing experience is required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required
  • Ability to understand, implement, create, and communicate standard operating procedures for job functions is required
  • Ability to understand, implement, create, and communicate rollout plans for expansion of solutions for their clients
  • Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), computer systems, and communication tools is required
  • Time management and prioritization is essential
  • Ability to complete projects by critical deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences, Medical Device and Manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Past software sales experience preferred



  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail
  • Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel occasionally via plane and or train
