SUMMARY

The Customer Communication Specialist is responsible for writing customer communication and project managing the communication delivery. This role is on the front lines of our customer marketing and customer success initiatives, ensuring that all communication is developed with a customer-first mindset. This person must work closely with representatives from various departments throughout the company to create, coordinate, and streamline customer communications. This may include, but is not limited to, communication channels such as MasterControl's customer website, email, surveys, newsletters, blogs, social media, events, speaking opportunities, etc.  This person will work closely with various specialists within Marketing (strategy, campaign planning, designers, event managers, etc.) to generate and publish creative messages designed to help our customers achieve higher levels of success and increased loyalty to MasterControl as a company.

Excellent writing and project management skills are required. This position is critical to assisting the marketing team to further promote customer success and customer loyalty, ultimately increasing company revenue. Works under immediate supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as lead author on communications related to customer marketing, customer success, and partner support.
  • Work closely with customer marketing strategists, campaign managers, project managers, customer succuess representatives, and other departmental personel to create relevant customer focused communications.
  • Ensure all communication adds value to the customer while meeting organizational requirements.
  • Develop engaging, creative, and informative messaging and deliver through a variety of channels (web, email, social, video, etc.).
  • Management of our ongoing customer communications calendar.
  • Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, marketing communications, business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Work experience of a minimum of 3 years in creating customer communications, advertising, or similar discipline.
  • Strong experience with writing and proofreading.
  • Creative flare and passion for creating compelling messaging.
  • Solid project management experience required.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to create and maintain positive relationships.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with social and email communication optimization.
  • Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects and communication calendars.
  • Ability to work well with various teams is required.
  • Good experience with Microsoft Office products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to operate a computer.
  • Effectively communicate both in writing or verbally in person and on the phone.
  • Work at a desk for an extended period of time.
  • Some travel may be required.
