The Process Architect is responsible for requirements gathering, process design, system configuration, integration with third party databases and document creation for MasterControl's Process Module. The role provides timely services delivery and resolves critical issues in a customer-facing environment. The Process Architect performs duties at engagements either on-site or remotely. The individual must be self-directed and motivated to provide solutions to clients. Familiarity with a variety of the industry's concepts, practices, and procedures is required. This role relies heavily on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Process Architect performs a variety of complex tasks and utilizes a wide degree of creativity and latitude in the position.


  • Creates and maintains strong working relationships with customers.
  • Identifies and documents business and technical requirements for client business processes.
  • Analyzes, formulates and documents design details and parameters for HTML/PDF forms within the MasterControl Process Module.
  • Performs form implementation in MasterControl Process Module using HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Provides Statements of Work and Estimates for Services to current and potential customers.
  • Executes methodologies, procedures and templates for successful services delivery.
  • Identifies and implements Quality Improvement Initiatives by engineering and tailoring process improvements for clients that meet regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Assures the timely and successful delivery of all customer deliverables.
  • Works with technical support and engineering staff to resolve customer issues related to integration or customer deliverables.
  • Follows company policy for expense and engagement reporting.
  • Up to 50% travel may be required.
  • Other duties as needed.


  • 2+ years of professional HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery development experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL and/or ORACLE database environments
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with various enterprise-level software systems (e.g. CRM, MRP, ERP, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience with business process analysis, design and implementation methodologies
  • Knowledge of Quality related business processes such as CAPA, Customer Complaints, Nonconformace Reporting, Deviation, etc.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven success working in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment


  • University Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or applicable work experience
  • 2+ years of FDA-regulated life-science, manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
