JOB SUMMARY 

The Project Manager role is a key function of the Professional Services Department at MasterControl. The Project Manager works directly with new and existing customers to ensure successful service delivery with superior levels of customer satisfaction. The Project Manager consults with our Customers to develop and execute project plans that will result in the successful deployment of MasterControl products in the field. . The individual in this role will have responsibility for the timely delivery of all customer service projects and associated deliverables within a defined scope and within customer budgets.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Develop and document an understanding of stakeholder interests, concerns, and goals for success; ability to work with all levels of management within stakeholder organizations
  • Create and execute project plans for all deployment activities with a clearly defined and established project methodology. from post-sale through execution and completion. Facilitate a smooth transition for the customer from Sales to project initiation.
  • General activities include project planning, resource allocation, project execution, status updates, risk identification and mitigation. .
  • Cross functional coordination with resources including Professional Services, Validation Services, Technical Field Services, Technical Architecture & Engineering Services, technical support, fulfillment, Sales operations, billing and other company resources as required
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to function under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Establish, monitor and maintain project budgets
  • Track and manage Change Control
  • Take an active role in timely issue resolution and be able to manage change and escalate issues; effective problem solving skills
  • Trigger timely billing of services rendered. Take corrective action as necessary to assure project and customer success
  • Must have the ability to effectively supervise teams and communicate to senior level management

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail
  • Project management experience in a software services related field or within a life sciences related industry.
  • Proven track record meeting budget and schedule while still meeting or exceeding customer requirements and objectives.
  • Travel may be required for Project Kickoff meetings and other customer meetings
  • Bachelor's Degree - Information Systems Management, Business Management, Related Field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical knowledge of MasterControl products
  • PMP or other project management certification a plus
  • Experience using Workfront or other Saas project management software
  • Experience in Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology, Blood & Biologics, or ISO Certification
