JOB SUMMARY:

The Graduate Technical Specialist will perform MasterControl implementation and configuration, industry specific Best Practice consulting, client product specific training and technical support. The Specialist is responsible for ownership of customer issues that are addressed to him/her and is encouraged to use all legitimate resources available to solve problems. The Technical Specialist will be responsible for performing requirements gathering, process design, quality testing, system configuration, and integration with third party systems for MasterControl's software product line, using HTML and JavaScript. The Specialist performs duties both on-site with the Client or remotely in MasterControl's EMEA Office. The individual must be self-directed and motivated to provide solutions to clients.

Experience of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry, Quality Events (CAPA, Deviation etc.), and/or Software validation expertise and working knowledge of regulatory requirements a benefit, but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist customers in configuration of MasterControl (Documents, Training, Process, Audit Management and other modules as assigned.)
  • Provide customers with industry Best Practice consultation for development of a quality management system
  • Educate customers in the implementation and application of company products.
  • Perform form development in MasterControl Process Software using HTML and JavaScript.
  • Perform software implementation, installation and upgrades to MasterControl customers.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with customers
  • Identify and document business and technical requirements and formulate clear solution designs.
  • Assures the timely and successful delivery of all customer deliverables.
  • Develop integrations to MasterControl using SQL to third party enterprise level software.
  • Migrate data from third party data systems to the MasterControl data structure.
  • Maintain current expense report documentation during client travel.
  • Respond to incoming technical support email and telephone calls.
  • Log software defects in the defect tracking tool.
  • Create cases and logs in the issue management system.
  • Maintain and work on open cases while focusing on root case analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Update and maintain reports for customers and key internal contacts.
  • Provide backup support to other TSE team members.
  • Work directly with engineering support to assure resolution of P1 issues.
  • Provide and participate in technical training and knowledge transfer for new or complex products.
  • As directed, perform special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive travel required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A recent Computing related graduate, minimum pass of 2:1.
  • Some HTML required and JavaScript knowledge is ideal.
  • Dynamic self-starter who can work on their own initiative and as part of a small team.
  • Someone who can communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Someone who can focus on delivering solutions on time and to help our customers be successful.
